Site preparation is in progress to begin foundation work and relocate roads at the hospital in preparation for a $21 million addition for a new emergency room and new inpatient rooms.
A year ago, Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, Maine, received approval from Maine DHHS Commissioner Brenda Harvey for a $21.3 million dollar expansion. This week, board members, hospital administrators, department directors, and the construction manager ceremonially marked the beginning of the construction phase of the project with a ground breaking ceremony.
