Healthy Eating

  • Look for colorful fruits and veggies.
  • Eat five to nine portions of these each day. (more info)

  • Avoid fast food and drinks with sugar added.
  • Eat slowly: it takes your stomach 20 minutes to signal fullness.
  • Eat with others when you can.
  • Eat whole grain bread.
  • Use small amounts of fats.
  • Drink 1% or skim milk.
  • Bake or broil meat, fish and poultry.
