Other affiliates include CHANS Home Health Care, the Mid Coast Medical Group, Mid Coast Senior Health Center and Thornton Oaks Retirement Community. Mid Coast Health Services is a not-for-profit organization, dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of the mid coast community.
Mid Coast Hospital is a member of the Maine Heart Center network, which includes Maine Medical Center and four additional hospitals. Through a clinical affiliation, the resources of Maine Medical Center are available to patients requiring tertiary care, including open heart surgery and neonatal intensive care.
Mid Coast Hospital is proud to be accredited by the Joint Commission—formerly the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations--whose seal of approval is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality. Mid Coast diagnostic services are accredited by the American College of Radiology. Laboratory services are accredited by the College of American Pathologists and the American Association of Blood Banks.
