Kara Aleixo Johnson, Esq.
Kara Aleixo Johnson has been appointed as the new Director of Development for Mid Coast Health Services. In this role, Johnson will lead the planning, implementation, and administration of all development activities including fundraising appeals, endowment campaigns, gift planning, grateful patient giving, and donor appreciation events.
A Mid Coast Hospital Board Member and committee chair for the Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary Board, Johnson brings with her a deep understanding of the organization and its commitment to deliver high quality patient-centered care.

As a lawyer and business owner with an extensive professional background, Kara brings over 20 years experience in development and business management to the Mid Coast Health Services Development team. Most recently, she founded Semaphore Business Development Group where she was responsible for business development.

Kara Johnson graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts in both political science and English literature. She received her law degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
With close ties to the community, spanning generations, Johnson summered in the Midcoast region for more than 25 years, before ultimately moving to the area in 2000. "This is a wonderful place to raise a family and with four children, I certainly recognize the importance of having good healthcare close by. I look forward to playing a part in the growth of this vital community resource as we face unprecedented changes in the world of healthcare.”
