Nursing
Career Education
Nursing practice continues to change and
develop. These changes are driven by advances
in technology, changes in medical and surgical
practice, and on-going research. To stay
abreast of theoretical and clinical knowledge,
Mid Coast Hospital nurses attend external
conferences and workshops, and participate
in in-house classes where new concepts related
to patient care are presented.
Many of the nursing staff choose to enhance
their knowledge by pursuing certification
in their specialty. Follow
this link for a list of these organizations
and their websites.
