Swallowing disorders and/or
heartburn can have a number of
symptoms, not all of which one
might associate with eating. Swallowing
difficulties sometimes result
from stroke or neurologic disease
such as Parkinson’s disease.
Common
symptoms include:
- Chest pain
- Chronic (daily) heartburn
- Difficulty or pain when swallowing
- Feeling of heaviness in the
chest after eating
- Feeling that food is stuck
in the throat or chest
- Inability to swallow
- Regurgitation of food
- Weight Loss
