Birthing with Confidence (Compressed One-Day Class)

  • One week prior to the class's start date, registrants will receive an email from the instructor including a link to access the class online.

Birthing with Confidence is offered as an intensive one day Saturday class from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Content focuses on the anatomy of the developing pregnancy, breathing and coping techniques, the phases of labor, medical interventions, and cesarean delivery. Please bring the book you received from the office, "Your Childbirth Experience", to class because it will be referenced many times. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing as participants will practice labor positions and perform stretches to prepare for labor. Fee: $65.00.

Birthing with Confidence is either a 2 week series from 6:00-8:30pm, or a 3 week series from 6:00-8:00pm. Content focuses on a natural approach to childbirth with an emphasis on relaxation, coping techniques, breathing techniques, and various laboring positions. Medication options will also be discussed. Information will be presented to provide coaches with the skills and knowledge they need to support their laboring partner, support post-partum care, and support newborn care. Please bring the book you received from the office, "Your Childbirth Experience", to class because it will be referenced many times. Breastfeeding Class is a one-night class offered once per month from 6 - 8 p.m. Content includes basic latch techniques, tips for breastfeeding success, and back-to-work strategies. Partners are welcome to attend.
