Worksite wellness initiatives in progress:
Bath Built Fit for Life
Managed by Mid Coast–Parkview Health, Fit for Life, screens Bath Iron Works’ employees onsite during work hours for cholesterol, blood pressure, Body Mass Index (BMI), body fat, blood sugar (including HbA1c), and other health risks. The program also provides a team of health coaches that meet one-on-one with participants to review results, educate about what they can do, and create short and long-term goals for sustained health improvement.
Healthy Maine Streets
Mid Coast Hospital is an active member of both the Bath and Brunswick Healthy Maine Street Committees. Healthy Maine Streets is a statewide initiative that focuses on developing place-based work site wellness programs, connecting small businesses with creative opportunities to make the healthy choice the easy choice.
Live Well. Work Well.
At Mid Coast–Parkview Health we recognize the importance of good health for our own employees and support healthy lifestyles by creating a work environment that supports healthier choices. Live Well. Work Well., our Employee Health and Wellness Program is supported by Senior Management, Human Resources, Public Affairs, Community Health & Wellness, and an active employee committee to help improve quality of life by eating healthier, increasing physical activity, quitting tobacco, and reducing stress and injuries.
