Young patients in trauma situations at Mid Coast Hospital receive a new teddy bear or stuffed animal to help comfort them during times of need and treatment.
The Teddy Bear Club is a program of the Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary that is supported by businesses, schools, and organizations in our communities, as well as Mid Coast–Parkview Health volunteers.
The Auxiliary works with Grampa’s Garden of Brunswick to manufacture custom-designed Mid Coast Hospital teddy bears, which are made by local artisans.
In the summer, hospital Junior Volunteers sponsor a Teddy Bear Drive to help the young patients with whom they may come in contact while volunteering.
Community organizations and businesses who wish to sponsor events to benefit the Teddy Bear Club are welcome to call the Volunteer Services office at
