John A. Taylor, DO, of Mid Coast Medical Group–Neurology was awarded the Louis Hanson, DO, Physician of the Year award by the Maine Osteopathic Association (MOA) at the group’s awards luncheon in June at the Samoset Resort in Rockland. Recognizing the importance of visitors to the wellbeing of patients, Mid Coast Hospital has updated its policy on visiting and escorting patients. This policy is an update to the Visitation Safety Measures imposed on Friday, March 20, 2020 and were most recently updated on March 8, 2022. This latest update will take effect on June 16, 2022, and shall remain in effect until further notice. | | |

Mid Coast–Parkview Health announced that President Lois Skillings, RN, MS, FACHE, will retire in early 2023. The announcement was made in a joint statement written by Lennie Burke, Chair of the Mid Coast–Parkview Health Board of Directors, and Kelly Elkins, Chief Operating Officer of MaineHealth. Skillings has worked for Mid Coast–Parkview Health in numerous nursing and leadership capacities since 1979, serving as president for the past 11 years. | | |

Recently, my husband and my sister have been under the care of the nurses, doctors, and other ancillary providers at Mid Coast Hospital. As a retired medical professional, I want to share how impressed I am, as they, with the loving kindness we have been surrounded by during the past few months. |
