Mid Coast–Parkview Health, MaineHealth Explore Integration
On February 19, the Mid Coast–Parkview Health board of directors voted to engage with MaineHealth to explore the possibility of integrating into the MaineHealth system. A board exploratory committee has been formed, tasked with evaluating the integration in a four- to six-month process which will include comprehensive community and stakeholder engagement.

Recognition Event Held for Mid Coast Hospital Volunteers
Mid Coast Hospital honored more than 458 volunteers at a recognition dinner and awards ceremony held September 21 at Mid Coast Hospital. In 2017, the volunteers at Mid Coast contributed more than 46,600 hours of time, helping to support the hospital in delivering high-quality healthcare to patients and families.

Mid Coast Hospital Stages Community Wide Disaster Drill
Mid Coast Hospital and Mid Coast Senior Health, along with community partners, took part in a full-scale mass-casualty drill on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. The disaster preparedness drill tests the preparedness and response of local, regional, and state agencies in a potential crisis.

Mid Coast–Parkview Health Recognizes Employees for Years of Service
Mid Coast Hospital, Mid Coast Senior Health Center, and CHANS Home Health & Hospice recently held two afternoon receptions recognizing employees for years of service. Mid Coast–Parkview Health senior administration presented more than 230 individuals with awards, celebrating milestone service anniversaries from 5 to 45 years. More than two thirds of the employees recognized have worked with the organization for more than ten years.

Kim Watson, MLNHA, Named Administrator of Mid Coast Senior Health Center
Mid Coast–Parkview Health has appointed Kim Watson, MS, SLP, MLNHA, as Administrator of Mid Coast Senior Health Center. In this new leadership role she will oversee the organization and management of the Senior Health Center, as well as the system-wide integration across Mid Coast–Parkview Health. Watson joins a seasoned team of professionals who provide residential, rehabilitation, nursing, and geriatric care to older adults in the Midcoast region.
