Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an educational program designed to help people better cope with stress and life's challenges.

Stress reduction is needed now, perhaps more than ever. To continue our MBSR program during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted the traditional curriculum to be conducted online via zoom.us.

This 8-week course will continue to offer experiential practice with mindfulness and meditation, information about stress and stress management, and group discussion. Modifications to the original program will be made to facilitate participant engagement and connection in an online environment. Class size will also be limited to ensure adequate personal attention. Specific consideration has been given to the length of time spent on a screen. As such, class time has been shortened from 2.5 hours weekly to 1.5 hours weekly.

 Virtual Program

This virtual 8-week course offers experiential practice with mindfulness and meditation, information about stress and stress management, and group discussions. The next session will begin with orientation at 6 p.m. on January 9, 2023. It will then continue weekly from January 23 - March 13.

Retreat

Each MBSR class includes a required weekend retreat. The retreat will be hosted on Saturday, March 4 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
